All of our Summer Camps offerings are created with the intention to create space where each child can feel seen, heard, and valued. While we explore various topics like Bees, Science, and Space, we always bring it back to exploring the world within through practices of Yoga, Mindfulness, and Meditation. The more we know ourselves, the more empowered we can be in sharing who we are, and our unique talents, with the world.

BE YOUR OWN SUPERHERO CAMP

June 14-18, 1:30-3:30pm

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Warrior 3!

During camp this week we will soar into the world Superheroes, using their strength and courage to reflect the strength and courage that exists within each of us. We will look at myths of brave warriors and well-known heroes journeys, along with contemporary superheroes of the DC, Marvel, Star Wars, and Pokémon kind.

But Superheroes are more than beings in fancy suits with otherworldly powers – there are everyday heroes such as doctors and firefighters, teachers and even kids who choose to act in extraordinary ways. Being a hero can include saving someone’s life, or be as simple as making someone smile. This camp includes storytelling and story creating, practicing power poses, and using yoga to fully embody ideas of bravery, power, and fun.

AROUND THE WORLD YOGA CAMP

June 28-July 2, 1:30-3:30pm

This week we will spend time considering cultures from around the world, looking at geography, food, famous landmarks, art, and animals associated with each region. Using our Explorer's Passports, we will visit Mexico, Iceland, France, Egypt, India, Australia, and Japan. Folktales, celebrations & festivals, and incorporating games will color our exploration around the globe. While discovering new perspectives, and perhaps hearing new stories, we will weave together the fabric of how similar and unique different cultures and people have been throughout time.

Each class will include movement, as a way to embody what we learn about each location, breathing exercises, and mindful & educational art projects related to each location. Join us for a week of colorful celebration of the diversity – and familiarity – we can find around the world.

BEE PRESENT CONNECTION CAMP

July 12-16, 1:30-3:30pm

Did you know that honey bees dance to communicate with one another? Or that while the well-known honey bee lives in collaborative hives, there are other solitary bees that burrow into the ground? Join us to learn about the science and magic of these important pollinators. From the social structure of the honey and bumble to the solitary nature of wild hole-nesting bees, bees are fascinating creatures!

We will explore ideas of connection to our inner world and connection to the community of students that gather online, all while mindfully practicing ways to be present in body, mind, and breath. By working creatively through art projects to engage the senses, and embodying practices of yoga, we will create a more in-depth understanding of what it means to Be Present.

Join us for a week of bees as a metaphor to introduce and explore mindfulness meditation concepts in a kid-friendly way.

STAR CHILD EMPOWERMENT SERIES

July 22, 29, August 5, 12, 1:30-3:30pm

Our Star Child Empowerment Series includes a weekly study of events happening in the celestial sphere, along with empowering yoga poses, breathing exercises, mindfulness practices, and time for reflection.

Each week we will look at the astrological events ahead of us, talk about constellations and planets making appearances in the night sky, upcoming bigger events such as meteor showers and eclipses. Then we will turn our attention inward, using yoga poses, breathing exercises, and mindfulness practices as a way to explore the universe within. Each week we will address specific ways to regulate stress and emotions, and will include time for reflection and sharing.

Students are not required to physically participate or share - so much is learned through observation and listening! We will practice and strive to create more of in our home life - more openness, more sharing, more understanding of ourselves and each other.
